DDA Labs

DDA Labs feature state-of-the-art computer workstations for digital video, audio, multimedia, animation and 3D modeling. DDA computer stations are fully networked and online via a T1 internet feed. We also have a production-quality render farm and high speed Wi-Fi access. Registered DDA students have 24-hour access to DDA Labs, with lab assistants available from 9am to 2am during the week.

A network-based Render Farm is available to students wishing to expedite the Maya rendering process. Students wishing to access the DDA Render Farm must attend a render farm workshop, which are held every semester. To access the DDA Render Farm, each student will be assigned an individual password-protected account.

Please respect our labs by reporting unauthorized activity or personals not affiliated with DDA. Extended access is available via a card reader system using students’ Pratt ID cards. Specific room access is granted only to labs in which the student is currently enrolled in classes. For security reasons, students are responsible for keeping all lab doors closed at all times to prevent unauthorized access.

If you have a technical problem or a concern about the DDA Labs, please fill out a Facilities Maintenance Form. These are also available near the entrance of each lab. Please help us support and maintain DDA Labs by reporting all concerns in writing.
