bio: Melissa Barrett is an artist and the Assistant Chairperson of Digital Arts at Pratt Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Yale University.
Melissa has also taught at the School of Visual Arts, and has lectured at New York University and the Baltimore School for the Arts. Her sculptures, collages and prints have appeared in group exhibitions at Repetti, Vox Populi, Jack the Pelican Presents, Nahcotta Gallery, New York Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute and the 2005 AAF Contemporary Art Fair. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, The Brooklyn Rail, and WNYC.org.
