Printing is done on a first-come first-serve basis. In general, printing can be accomplished in a little as 24 hours but allow three days for files to be printed. Students will be charged the standard student printing rate, $4.00 per square foot with the studio-supplied paper or $3.00 per square foot with student-supplied paper.

A Digital Imaging Print Form must be filled out in order to get a file printed. Incomplete and/or illegible forms will not be processed.

• Accepted File Formats are: PSD, EPS, TIF, AI, JPEG, PNG, GIF
• Image Size must be at least 300 dpi for high-quality images and prints (does not apply to vector art).
• Documents must be saved as RGB.

• EPSON Premium Luster Photo Paper, 24” x 100’ & 44” x 100’, 10 mil, 240 gsm, Polyethylene Encapsulated Paper
• EPSON Enhanced Matte Paper (Ultra Premium Matte Presentation Paper), 24” x 100’ or A3, 10.3 mil, 192 gsm
• EPSON Textured Fine Art Paper, 24” x 50’, 15 mil, 225 gsm, 100% Cotton Rag
• EPSON Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Super A3, 13” x 19”, 10.4 mil, 252 g/m2 (68 lb)
• EPSON Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper, Tabloid, 11” x 17”, 102 g/m2 (27 lb)

All non-stocked paper must be pre-approved by the lab management or the Department of Digital Arts. Poor quality paper may reduce print quality and cause paper jams or other problems. You will be held responsible for any damages to the printer using non-approved paper.

Students enrolled in a 2-D imaging course or those with special permission from Lab Management have priority for using the printing facilities in the Digital Imaging Studio. Only DDA Faculty and Digital Imaging Studio Assistants may operate the printing computer and equipment in the Imaging Center. If you would like to be present during printing and wish to observe the printing process you must arrange an appointment in advance.
